A warm welcome to Lindsey Stafford Counselling. I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist based in Chafford Hundred, Grays, Thurrock. I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework.
Whatever brings clients to therapy, I aim to facilitate their own self awareness through the development of a trusting and supportive counselling relationship and to assist them in becoming more self empowered and feeling more in control of their own lives. With awareness, we can begin to free ourselves from our past conditioning and become more present in our everyday lives and connect at a deeper and more fulfilling way with ourselves, each other and the world around us.
Some people may be going through a crisis in their lives and may be looking for support to deal with a particular issue, or they may have ongoing recurrent problems in certain areas of their lives and need someone to really listen empathically and without judgement. They may be wanting to change certain habits or patterns of relating with others, or they may not have any specific problem but they may be wishing to work on their own self development.
I have worked for Mind Thurrock, CGL(drug and alcohol) and Tavistock Relationships, so I have experience of many of the life struggles we face.
What I can help with:
Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Addictions, Anger management, Anxiety, Asperger syndrome, Bereavement, Depression, Disability, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Identity issues, Loss, Phobias, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Stress, Trauma.
